BLUE OCEAN STRATEGY (BOS)

Based on the Blue Ocean Strategy, Expo Floor has decided to meet a need that is not yet applied by many companies.

You often see stand builders or organizers purchasing raised floors themselves in order to assemble them with less experienced people. Also you see raised floors that are composed of wooden plates and strip materials. It often takes extra time. It costs more. It’s less durable.

Expo Floor has developed a floor that is suitable for all purposes. For any customized product presentations. This floor is installed quickly and qualitatively by skilled people. It saves costs, it saves time, it simply gives you a lot of ease of use.

The Expo Floor is unique in its kind and that is how we distinguish ourselves. As a specialist, we have large stocks, an extensive choice, even tailor-made choices. In short, Expo Floor is your partner to work with in the field of professional product presentations.

Now, 10 years after our startup, we continue to build in the spirit of the Blue Ocean Strategy. We will both internationalize and strengthen our position in our home market, Belgium.

Because our sister company Expo Gamma already started successfully in France a few years ago (with a completely independently operating branch in the field of sales and logistics), we can now gratefully use this for Expo Floor to take the first steps towards success in France.

Not only the French market is important to us, but also the Dutch and German markets, which is why we will be developing them actively from now on. To be supplied first from Wijnegem-Belgium, and if demand is sufficient, the step will also be taken in those countries to establish a physical presence with a logistics and sales-oriented location. And who knows what more the future will bring.

(1) The Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) is a business strategy. The strategy was published in 2005 in the book of the same name, written by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne of The Blue Ocean Strategy Institute at INSEAD(2). The core of the strategy is to create new markets, the Blue Oceans. This is in contrast to competing with others in an existing market.

(2) INSEAD is an international management training institute, or business school. INSEAD was founded in 1957 in Fontainebleau, France, three months after the signing of the Treaty of Rome. The name INSEAD originally stands for Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires, French for European Institute of Business Management.
